    Yes. So you have encapsulated my thoughts on this. I've struggled with willpower management for quite some time. But through my growing/ongoing breath/cold/mindset work, though I still struggle, I have become more resilient in terms of how I motivate myself when unmotivated or "lazy". All of this is really a practice, a constant learning. Even when I feel like I have sunk too deeply into routine, I manage to break out through cultivating my awareness. Again, thank you for your insights!

    When the first music started playing (its the same you use in one of your breathworks) my skin instantly crawled. I'm a welder, and I work in various countries in very limited amounts of time to get money, so that I can go back home and enjoy a long period of "relaxation" or "calm". The more I do it, the more I am aware of how valuable the interactions with my familiy are, how limited everything we do is, and how grateful I am for having this lifestyle. Currently I am in the Netherlands and shall return home in two weeks time, and when I arrived I was absolutely shocked by everything I don't have anymore, but by remaining true to the ongoing exposure to unwanted scenarios, breathworks and cold showers are also a part of this. During breaks I breath deeply and fully, while surrounded by people, and my mental activity is at its highest in those moments, I start to enter a narrative of how I am percieved by others by doing this unorthodox practice in such an environment, which I also consider to be an exposure to this unwantedness, And after the first round, after the exhale that comes after the 15 seconds inhale, everything fades. Suddenly I am in tune with my heart rate that drops significantly and I am unafraid of what I look like, and indulge in the practice further. Everything that is social related blurs a little and I am much more aware of the constant popping of thoughts that are quickly regarded, aknowledged and allowed to fade once more. The second round usually focuses on physical sensations like birds and leaves in the distance, while chatter remains in the background (it especially helps since I don't understand the language, meaning that I have no care for what it could mean). Third round becomes this.... Limbo mode, where I either indulge fully into a deep state of mental relaxation and a great awareness of how tense my body is and where I feel some form of mild discomfort (like feet hurting, or lower back aching) and adjust my posture accordingly. I've been keeping to this practice every day since I have been here. And I feel I grow with it everyday. Ah... And I have your videos in my phone that keeps me company through this practice. I can but be deeply thankful for what you have brought to me (and so many others) All of that said. Thank you Kitaro, I truly mean it!

    Dam right support this at first I’m not going to lie I thought and I was being judgmental for no reason what so ever. But I though this was not going to be effective or any good but was i mistaken what a regrettable action it would of been if I had of swiped past this. You have remarkably presented this differently the calmness that comes from the narration helps you to hold out on retention longer than the time given the energy you get takes you away somewhere different locked in proper. In comparison to other videos this by far is my favourite and go to video. The other people are amazing too but they are to excited in there voice when holding breath out you need calm if you get what I mean amazing. This and an ice bath wow does wanders well ice bath first then this strat after amazing thank you ONELOVE .

    Brother, have you ever experimented with doing double inhales on the hyperventilation part of the wim hof breathing? Hubes claimes the physiological sigh to be the fastest way to get rid of excess co2. From my experience when i do double inhale and a mid range exhale rhythmically, i do get the tingling consistently after 30-45 seconds in. Really cuts time and feels effortlessly compared to regular 2 minute hard in and exhales. Much love.

      @user-kn1qi5sf9w 2 дня назад

      I’m not sure this would work that well because the reason for the double inhale is to unlodge more c02 so you can do a long exhale to get more out, without the long exhale the double inhale seems redundant Kinda strikes me as mixing the two and ending up diluting them both. I could be wrong tho ofc

    • @neinbruderja7519
      @neinbruderja7519 2 дня назад

      @@user-kn1qi5sf9w hey that sounds quite logical. I always thought about longer exhales increasing CO2 because you're going to be more in a hypoxic state, as buteyko claims. On the other hand, kitaro already stated that while doing Wim Hof, longer exhales rather calm you down and do not work so well for hyperventilating. The whole gas exchange theory still confusing tbh. If hyperventilation is the result of expelling more CO2, then long exhales would be the way to go. Anyways, I do experience that the double inhales help me hyperventilate, if I keep the exhalation short and rhythmically. I think "In, in, Out" while having drums playing or so. Like I said, beams me into seeing random colors in under a minute. Thanks for your insight!

    • @Jamie_Wilson
      @Jamie_Wilson 2 дня назад

      It depends what you want from your breathwork mate. The whole idea behind WHM is not just the lowering of CO2 via hyperventilation but also the activation of the sympathetic nervous system DURING the hyperventilation stage. The reason you get the effects during the breath hold stage is because of a combination of increased adrenaline having been released plus the intermittent hypoxia (short term lowering of blood oxygen saturalion) that happens when you hold your breath on empty lungs. If you do some huberman breaths before the breath hold instead, what will happen is you'll not activate the sympathetic nervous system (ie release adrenaline) as much so the effects from the breath hold might feel different even though your still getting intermittent hypoxia as before. Simply put, its not really the Wim Hof method if you do huberman breaths during the hyperventilation... But that's not to day this version of a breathwork practice doesn't have its own benefits and subtle differences that are worth exploring. It just won't "enhance" your WHM breathwork because you've changed the physiological state that gets produces by altering the breathing during hyperventilation. I.e you've started doing a different method altogether. But breathwork is WAY MORE than just WHM guys! Check out other methods, there's some other great techniques out there that do different but equally amazing things to you. I'd suggest checking out Soma Breath by Niraj Naik. He does a variation of the WHM which i find is quite interesting. His thing is basically coherent (rhythmic) breathing for longer periods of time but less intensity, so less hyperventilation, followed by breath holds. You can honestly hold your breath just as long doing this as the WHM, in spite of maybe lowering CO2 less, but you don't get as much sympathetic activation at the start so the feeling is more peaceful but maybe less intense. Different methods for different moods I guess. Enjoy

    100% one of the best breathing sessions anyone can have! I made a discovery during this session that I have been trying to understand since i started doing the breathwork. I found that i feel the best when I start slowly go near my full out in the middle and go slowly in the end or when I go intermidiently all the way. I think this is the concept that Buddha discovered and it is that you have to find ballance/ the middle way. When i go full out I feel insanly energetic but my muscles are very stiff at the end and it feels like getting shocked by an electric current. When i go slowly I cant really feel the effects. I still need to discover more so if someone feels the same as I do please spare some advice. Thank you

Been trying Wim Hoff method for a while and I still feel like my breathing is too forced. However, I feel better effects when I don't simply relax my breath out, but push it out almost as equally as the inhale personally...

    I’ve done the WHM at various points with varying consistency and mixed results. The last few times I did it I ended up getting sick a day or so after. I also noticed that the more I practiced the method the shorter the duration of the positive effects. In fact, I ultimately decided it was a net negative for me which is disappointing because I really enjoyed it early on.
